We always advise our clients that they should keep the house clean during the entire time the house is listed for sale. It can be hard to find the time to make the beds and clean the kitchen prior to leaving for work in the morning, but these tasks are essential during the time the house is on the market. Imagine if a potential buyer decides to schedule a showing at the house after the client has left for work in the morning and they walk in to the house to find unmade beds and clutter in the kitchen. Not a very good first impression.
